這是一副黑暗的哥德式幻想塔羅牌，用意是來探索靈魂的黑暗面。作者是漫畫家Luis Royo，1954年出生於西班牙，學過繪圖和設計，之後很快的變成科幻和奇幻領域中少數重要的插畫家，他也替一些重金屬的搖滾雜誌畫過圖，知名度算是頗高的一位插畫家，在台灣的知名度也不低，中國最大的科幻雜誌『科幻世界』的封面插圖一度大量使用他的作品，而且盜版的『龍槍編年史』和『龍槍傳奇』也都盜用了這位大師的圖畫。
